This is a the 2006 edition of a rare and highly sought-after book documenting the Vietnam War, now a classic of photojournalism. Originally published in 1971, this groundbreaking book was essential in turning the tide of opinion in the US and ultimately helping to put an end to the Vietnam War. The outcome of three years' work on the ground in Vietnam, it is the result of one of the most detailed surveys of any conflict ever undertaken. Re-created with the photographer, this new edition includes Griffiths' same personal layouts and commentaries with a foreword that highlights the book's impact on American public opinion.
