Published in 1955, Henri Cartier-Bresson's "The Europeans", a portrait of the continent documenting a landscape shadowed by the war, has become a classic in photography, history, and art. Cover designed and executed by Joan Miro. 114 full-page gravure reproductions. Hardcover in original acetate dust jacket. 8 pp. caption booklet included.

Condition

Near Fine; a tight binding and clean throughout with a bit of rubbing and wear to head and bottom 1/2" at foot of spine. In a Very Good original acetate dust jacket with paper flaps that is largely complete save for a 1" area of loss to top of spine and a larger 4" x 2" triangular area of loss to rear panel with some adjacent creasing.
