A selection of historic Contact Sheets by Magnum photographers are available as high quality, unsigned, contemporary 16x20" prints. These contact prints offer the opportunity to own a piece of Magnum's history.

This contact sheet portrays the culture of a rural and isolated town in Burkina Faso taken by John Vink in in Tin Akoff, 1985. Pictured in these images is a young boy filling “guerbas” with water at a pond in the desolate looking landscape, as it borders the Sahara desert. Vink’s images illustrate the culture as well as the town’s agriculture.

Vink came to public attention in 1986 when he was awarded the prestigious W. Eugene Smith Grant in Humanistic Photography for Water in Sahel, a two-year documentary project on water management involving migrant and sedentary populations of the Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso and Senegal.

In 1993 Vink became a nominee at Magnum Photos, and in 1997 a full member.

Giclée print, 16x20”, stamped with artist copyright stamp on verso and Magnum blind stamp on recto. Uneditioned.

Reproducing the original without alteration and enlarged to a 16"x20" paper size, these Magnum Contacts offer a unique insight into the methods by which our photographers produced some of their best known images, by clearly showing the sequence of frames and the marks of the editing process on each sheet.

These prints are embossed 'Magnum Photos Collection' on the white border in the bottom right corner and hand stamped with the photographers copyright on the back.

All Magnum Contact Sheet Prints come with a choice of framing options. These contemporary custom frames are hand-crafted in New York City by expert framers. Please allow an extra 2 weeks for framing your orders.
